Residential housing was established in the area in the seventies.

What the owners say...-"We have spent five happy years living at The Squirrels but we now need to move on as our family grows. As we both grew up in London and continue to work in the City, we both knew that we needed to live somewhere with great transport links. Welwyn Garden City station has provided us with fast and frequent services to London and the A1(M) is close and easily accessible. The station also provides us with direct trains to Cambridge, which has been perfect for visiting family and for days out. We have been spoilt for choice for groceries with a Morrisons, Tesco and Lidl only a short walk from our front door and Marks and Spencer, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s only a short drive away. There are extensive pedestrian and cycle paths throughout the area and pretty countryside walks around. Our dog particularly enjoys Moneyhole Lane Playing Fields and the woodland walk beyond which gets covered in beautiful bluebells every year which is a must see! -
